CAREER GUIDANCE & DEVELOPMENT
David Puseyhas over 30 years experience of supporting individuals with their career development. He is passionate about delivering independent, friendly, impartial and confidential career guidance. He has recently worked as a Career Consultant with a range of organisations including Bournemouth & Poole College, Sholing Technology College, Southamptson University and the National Careers Service (Ansbury).
David holds a Potgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance from Manchester Metropolitan University and is a Registered Professional with the Career Development Institute. He has extensive experience in the use of Psychometric Assessment and is a qualified and registered member of the British Psychological Society for both 'ability' and 'personality' tests.
He adopts a 'client centred' guidance approach in which career choice is viewed as a lifelong developmental process. He can use Psychometric Assessment and career resources to support the guidance process.

- Graduate Member of British Psychological Society (BPS)

- Registered member of the BPS Psychological Testing Centre for Occupational Testing
- ASE trained and qualified 16PF Psychometric Test User
- Morrisby trained and qualified Psychometric Test User
- Full Member of the Career Development Institute (CDI)
- CDI Registered Career Development Professional
Career Guidance Services
David can support individuals of any age or at any stage of their career development. For example:
Support with year 9 option choices and Career Planning: subject choices linked to careers and education progression, career planning skills etc.
Career planning for students in years 10 & 11: career choice, sixth form subjects, academic and vocational college courses, Traineeships, Apprenticeships, work experience, volunteering etc.
Sixth Form & HE Progression: Careers Planning and Development, HE Choice, UCAS Applications, Course progression within FE and work based routes (Apprenticeships);
Higher Education research and applications: Access to HE courses: hHE Choice, UCAS applications, UCAS personal statements, UCAS Extra, Clearing and Adjustment, getting the most out of HE open days, preparing for HE etc.
Career Development: progression and advancement within current role, professional development and training, career change, returning to work, career enrichment, work life balance, active retirement & lifelong learning etc.
Employability Skills: self-assessment, sources of vacancies, writing CVs, completing application forms, interview technique, organising and managing job search etc.
Appointments
Meetings can take place at our office in Ashley Cross, Poole or at the clients home.
Alternatively we can offer guidance by telephone and Skype. This is particularly suitable for clients who live further afield.
We offer evening and weekend appointment.
Our charges start at £59 for a 1hr initial Guidance appointment. Reduced rates are available for follow up appointments.
